Get to know our family business, what Wichita chiropractors Drs. Ryan and Denise Dopps are passionate about, and how they can serve you.
Chiro Kid to Chiro Leader
Dr. Ryan grew up surrounded by a chiropractic family. It was an accident at the age of 16 that changed his perception. He was on a traveling ice hockey team when he was cross-checked in the lower back, fracturing his L5 on the right side. This time of injury never actually heals. His options were limited and he chose chiropractic management over surgery.
Not only did Dr. Ryan switch to the lower impact sport of roller hockey, but his mindset about chiropractic shifted from thinking in just helped to improve posture to seeing how it could be therapeutic and relieve pain. He went his goal was pain relief and sports chiropractic as he got his Doctoral at Parker University in Dallas, and became a Board Certified Chiropractor (Nationally Certified and State Licensed).
In 2012, Drs. Ryan and Denise opened their office on the east side of Wichita. They have developed great relationships with their patients since. From infants to professional athletes, Dr. Ryan finds great joy in helping anyone he comes in contact with. Everyone who sees Dr. Ryan Dopps knows they are in good hands, as his warm and friendly personality mixes well with his objective approach to getting you better. Dr. Ryan enjoys working with patients to not only to help to alleviate pain but also helping them achieve their health and wellness goals including nutrition, using diagnostic tools and evaluations.
All In a Day
Before heading in to the office, Dr. Ryan has a routine of doing strength training to get centered and focused for his day. Because he loves learning, he frequently reads or listens to audiobooks, even while working out. His current read is Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss. He enjoys learning about business of all kinds, even if it’s not about chiropractic.
With three children and their activities, including basketball and dance, Dr. Ryan is never bored. He enjoys finding ways to keep a vegan lifestyle interesting, while getting the macros in–his current favorite is brussle sprouts!
He and Dr. Denise enjoy traveling, from a Christmas cruise with the kids, to discovering Europe and hiking remote places in Hawaii.
He is also a frequent guest speaker across the county. “I love to inspire people to take action, to transform their lives into something better,” he said. Dr. Ryan himself was challenged to grow and even a little shook up at a Tony Robbins conference.

Family Business And Employer
Being a health and wellness leader in the Wichita area is important to Dr. Ryan. He achieves great satisfaction from being able to benefit his community in a positive way. He hadn’t anticipated that this would also come through being an employer and he considers that an honor to be able to help people take care of their families and reach their own dreams, such as owning their own house.
As district President for the Kansas Chiropractic Association, Dr. Ryan organized events to educate several Sedgwick County Chiropractors on the latest chiropractic and medical research. Dr. Ryan enjoyed volunteer-based board positions in several groups (including Prairie Fire Marathon and a non-profit local organization) and was the official Team Chiropractor for the Wichita Thunder professional hockey team for six years.
